“The Parent's Association of Pathway” has successfully formed 'Self Help Groups' (SHG). These groups consists of parents of mentally handicapped children and adults of the center. The intention of the organization to form such group was to energize and empower parents to take lead in helping their children in various projects drawn by the organization.
The organization has ambitious program fro the SHG in organizing sales of various products made by the organization, involving children and parents of the children, so that the SHG can work towards economic emancipation of their wards.
The institution regularly conducts training programs for the parents in the various aspects of rehabilitation. Parents are encouraged to join various programs of the centre and work with the special children with special needs. They are also given opportunities to join as regular staff in various programs for the children and adults of the centre.
